Danny’s AIESEC experience began in his home Local Committee of AIESEC Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, with a spot on an AIESEC conference organizing committee. The work proved challenging, but gave him valuable experience in both teamwork and leadership.
Following his conference planning experience, Danny decided to take on a leadership role in his Local Committee, first as Vice President of External Relations, and then as Local Committee President. Although his year was filled with many different highlights, his favourites include SFU hosting four international interns at a time during the summer, and his trip to Istanbul, Turkey, for AIESEC’s International Congress.
Just recently, Danny decided to challenge himself on a whole new level, and run for the position of National VP of Communications for AIESEC Canada in Toronto. Having been selected for the role, he is now responsible for information management, alumni relations, and public relations for a national organization, at only 21.
