At the age of 18, Marina took on her first leadership role with AIESEC at York University in Toronto as VP of Incoming Exchange. In this position she was responsible for matching five young people from different parts of the world to work internships in Canada.
Perhaps the most impactful aspect of Marina’s AIESEC Experience so far has been her Cultural Envoy in Pakistan, where she helped to develop the new AIESEC branch that is being constructed there. In a country where opportunities to go abroad are rare, Marina was able to open the eyes of many Pakistani university students to the chance that AIESEC provides young people all over the world to broaden their worldviews.
Throughout her AIESEC career, Marina has traveled to such countries as Pakistan, Turkey, Spain, and Brazil. Because of the vast global network of friends that she now possesses, her travels have allowed her to truly experience many new cultures. Having been both a facilitator of the exchange experience and an exchange participant herself, Marina now understands the impact AIESEC has had on her life, and the impact she has been able to create.
